The appearance with Bill and Kerry Edwards at the Fretted String on Friday, October 12th, 2018 was a total blast! There was a huge turnout for such an intimate space.  I saw many current students as well as the mom of two students who started violin around age 6 or 7 and took lessons right on through their senior year at Davis High.

Bill is a singer/songwriter and guitarist.  Many of his songs have been recorded and performed by the Sacramento area group, Mumbo Gumbo.  One of his songs, The Waltz, was performed on a popular television show of the early ’90’s, Northern Exposure.  Daughter, Kerry,  accompanies on bass guitar.  It’s a joy to play music witi her.

This performance was part of the Davis ArtAbout that takes place the second Friday of every month.  It is self guided art-walk, exploring art installations and receptions at galleries, art co-ops, and businesses in Davis.  It’s free and offers art, activities, live music, complimentary wine and refreshments, and opportunities to converse with featured artists.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to get out and experience art and connect with the local community.
